First Kill is a Netflix fantasy drama about teen star crossed lovers Juliet and Cal. The instant connection between the two girls is quickly found to be forbidden as they discover that Cal is from a family of monster hunters and Juliet derives from a legacy of vampires. The two struggle with coming into their own powers, pursuing their obligatory “first kills”, and fighting off their mutual affections for each other. The show’s fashion works to distinguish the girls' differing personas, dressing Juliet in preppy sweaters, collared shirts, and flouncy pleated skirts while Cal rocks a trendier style made up of graphic prints, high waisted jeans, and midriff baring tops.
